Reviewers highlight the quick and friendly service, with an English menu enhancing accessibility for non-Japanese speakers. The variety of dishes, including fried options, appeals to diverse tastes at reasonable prices. While the restaurant tends to fill up during evening hours, it remains a recommended destination in Shinjuku for those looking for authentic, fresh seafood in a relaxed setting. Minor feedback includes small facility details, such as restroom door functionality.
It’s mainly a casual sashimi place that also caters to those that want a beer with their friends. Thick cuts of tuna, salmon, yellowtail etc. on a bed of shaved ice and fresh wasabi. Order comes out quick. They have an English menu with photos and also some cooked options. We got friendly service and we also spoke a little bit of Japanese as much as we could to be respectful.
Enjoyed a wide variety of food with quick and helpful service. If you are looking for a good izakaya in the Shinjuku area, it is worth a visit. I visited around 5:30pm, and it was not too busy, but it was starting to fill up by the time I left.
Izakaya offering fish dishes. Amazing menu with lots of options. Price per lunch menu around 6 euros. Different atmosphere, really worth visiting
This is their 4th location in this small area. So you know it's popular. The fish is great, awesome place to share small plates with a group. I liked all the fried options too. The men's bathroom door doesn't lock, so it's a little awkward
Came here for a good tour and the seafood was amazing. Given we only got a little bite we decided to come back for dinner and glad we did. We thought we ordered too much, turns out when the seafood is this good and fresh you can eat a lot more than you think. If you are in Tokyo and want great seafood for a very reasonable price, definately worth the trip!
This was basically the restaurant my sushi-savoring wife was looking for our whole trip. She has a deep love of salmon, and this little spot - which was revealed to us on an Izakaya walking tour from an Airbnb experience with Yuma & Team - had the best value and quality of sashimi. We went on a Monday as part of a group of 6, where we sampled salmon, tuna, seared bonito, fried tuna, and crab cream puffs. Then we went back the very next night for more salmon and seared bonito. The service was smooth, and they gave us a complimentary little mix of octopus legs and pickled radish or something. The whole experience brought us great joy.
Fresh, healthy portions of some of the best sashimi we had on our trip!
Fresh sashimi with cheap price. I love sea urchin and salmon roe. There was full of urchin on the sushi. The price will be higher if you eat elsewhere with the same quantity. Recommend for economy option!!
